Aches & Games
Welcome to the Aches & Games website!
Back in 2023, two (really) old friends from school decided to set up a podcast, as an excuse to have a regular catch up and a bit of a natter about games that they had been playing.
The podcast idea kind of took off and now quite a few episodes down the line James and Giles have set up this website as a little spot to share fun bits from the podcast, but also to share some gaming stuff, news, reviews and occasional attempts at humour.
Giles is the brains behind the podcast side of things and loves a bit of X and Threads, whilst James likes Facebook, Instagram, setting up websites and writing in the third person. It’s pretty much a gaming match made in heaven.
So welcome to our little piece of the internet and please feel free to have a look around at our recent podcasts and other gaming stuff using the menus above and the previews below. Also we’d love to see you over on our Aches & Games socials – links are below!
A relaxed, monthly check-in between two *slightly older* British friends, talking about life, gaming (and basically whatever other nonsense comes to mind). We’re currently playing on Xbox, PlayStation 5 plus a bit of PC and Nintendo Switch action.
New episodes drop every first Friday of the month.
We celebrate spooky season by discussing some of our favourite ghoulish games and choosing a season-appropriate choice for October’s game of the month. Plus our thoughts on Age of Mythology Retold (September’s choice), how Giles actually “went west” and the usual catch-ups, tangents and general nonsense.
